Camel Oil and Gas Ltd. was a junior oil and gas producer. In 1982 it applied in Alberta to modify a gas plant at Abee, and in 1984 it applied to commingle production there. Ontario records also list Camel wells drilled in Lambton County in 1980-81, later marked abandoned.
It was one of many small western producers of the early 1980s, with a documented Alberta gas plant and a short Ontario drilling program.
It was one of many junior western producers of the National Energy Program years, with a documented Alberta gas plant at Abee and a short Ontario well program.
Regulator files still use the Camel Oil and Gas Ltd. name in 1984. A later buyer or merger after that year was not confirmed from two independent public sources. A 2012-16 federal Camel Oil & Gas Inc. in Whitby is a different company.
