The company
Canada Malting malted barley for brewers and distillers. Three Ontario maltsters combined in 1902. The 1905 Saint-Henri plant on the Lachine Canal was for a time the largest maltings in Canada. The company also built houses in Winnipeg, Calgary, Thunder Bay, and Toronto. It left the canal site around 1980 for a plant in the Port of Montreal.
