The company
Westinghouse Canada made electrical equipment in Hamilton: turbines, generators, switchgear, industrial systems, and, for a time, appliances. Canadian Westinghouse took the Westinghouse Canada name in 1971. The 1979 and 1981 reports are from those Hamilton plants.

Through WESCO, Westinghouse Canada supplied most of the power transformers, switchgear, motor control, lighting and other electrical equipment installed in the new Shell Canada petrochemical complex at Sarnia, Ontario.
