The company
Texaco Canada produced, refined, and marketed petroleum under the Texaco name. The line runs through McColl-Frontenac, the 1927 combination of McColl Brothers and Frontenac Oil Refineries. Texaco of the United States held the Canadian company. By the late 1980s it was described as the fourth-largest oil company in Canada.

Net income for 1976 was $28,982,000 or $2.97 a common share, down 43.3% from 1975. Refinery throughput averaged 145,100 barrels a day, and construction of the Nanticoke refinery, which will cost more than $400 million, passed the halfway point.
