The company
Canada Southern Petroleum was a Calgary explorer, incorporated in 1954. It held frontier permits rather than refineries. In 1957 it took Yukon permit 1007, later the Kotaneelee gas field, and it held interests in the Arctic Islands' Sverdrup Basin.
